The CW is currently developing a series based on DC Comics character Hourman.
According to TV Guide, the network is looking to launch a series based on the “brilliant yet troubled” pharmaceutical analyst.
Hourman is a superhero that discovers his superpower of being able to foresee tragic events an hour before it happens, which has plagued him since childhood. The character was first created in April 1940 by Ken Fitch and Bernard Bailey. The character has been affiliated with the Justice Society of America, Freedom Fighters, All-Star Squadron, and the Justice League.
The CW explained the plot, “Determined to win back his ex-wife and son, he heroically prevents these tragedies from unfolding, finding both purpose and redemption along the way.”
Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz will be producing the new series through their Lin Pictures production company. Scripter of Ironside, Michael Caleo will be writing the script for Hourman.
