Julianne Moore has recently been announced to star in Alzheimer’s drama Still Alice.
She will play a university professor with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. The film is based on Lisa Genova’s debut novel about a 50-year-old Harvard cognitive psychology professor at the height of her career who starts to notice her memory is lapsing.
With the diagnosis affecting her life immensely, the fiercely independent woman must learn to come to terms with how to deal with her diagnosis.
Still Alice is set to start shooting in New York mid-February of 2014. The upcoming movie is fully financed by BSM Studio. CAA is representing the flick in the US, whereas Memento Films Intl. will take on world sales.
Moore was last seen in the recent Carrie remake. She will also be in upcoming Seventh Son film and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay two-part films.
