How did the man become the legend? That’s what this week’s Dracula, featuring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, is all about. In an exclusive clip from TV Line, fans get to see how Vlad Tepes was transformed from a human into the iconic vampire Dracula.
As a human, Vlad Tepes is condemned by The Order of the Dragon to a life of eternal night. For his crimes against the almighty, The Order captures him and, through a ritual involving blood from a skull, transforms him into a powerful, immortal being.
Besides not being able to walk in the sun, Tepes (now Dracula) gains superhuman strength, heightened senses, and a thirst for blood.
Portraying the famous vampire from Bram Stoker’s novel is no easy task, but after his role as King Henry VIII in Showtime’s The Tudors, Meyers has proven that he is up to the task.

You can catch the exclusive clip on TV Line and the new episode of Dracula this Friday on NBC.
