This season of Once Upon A Time has been an absolute whirlwind. We trust Regina, we don’t trust Regina; Emma loves Neil, Emma is over Neil; Hook is a good guy, Hook is a bad guy. I tell you what! It’s enough to give any fan whiplash.
However, one thing we’ve not really seen much of this season is the magical hub itself, Storybrooke. The main crew has been so focused on retrieving Henry and getting out of Neverland that we haven’t been made privy to the goings on back at headquarters.
Apparently this week’s episode will change all that. We will flash back to when Emma and her crew set sail for Neverland, leaving the small town of Storybrooke in Belle’s charge. We will also get to see more of Ariel, as she travels to Storybrooke, per the instruction of Rumple and Regina, to guide Belle’s search for a dark object of power that Rumple believes will conquer Pan once and for all.
But nothing is ever THAT easy, right? Belle and Ariel, after forging a friendship, are thwarted by two goons; simply dubbed as of right now “keychain” and “glasses,” tie the ladies together; successfully foiling their plans.
Back in Neverland, the scandalous love triangle that is Emma, Neil and Hook, try their mightiest to stave off the awkward, as they continue their search for a Dark Hollow that could potentially stop Pan’s shadow in his tracks indefinitely.
