NBC’s Community just keep adding guest star after guest star for its forthcoming fifth season.

David Cross, comedian extraordinaire and star of Arrested Development, is the latest name to be added to that rather impressive list of upcoming guest stars.

Cross will appear in a follow-up episode to Season Two’s “Advanced Dungeons and Dragons,” playing Hank Hickey, the “bitterly estranged son of Professor Hickey,” (Jonathan Banks).

Hank will join the study group for “the second most important game of Dungeons & Dragons ever.”

Fans of the show will remember the first game, (as if we could forget!) where, in an effort to lift the spirits of Fat Neil, the study group decide to play a game of D&D, with the intentional exclusion of Pierce. Unfortunately, Pierce figures out that they have left him out and insists on joining in, which only leads to disaster, or so it would seem, until in true study group fashion, good triumphs over evil.

Other famous names and faces that have already signed on to make their mark on Community Season 5 include, Nathan Fillion, Paget Brewster, Ben Folds, Vince Gilligan and Robert Patrick, among others. We can also expect the return of everyone’s favourite Psychology Professor, John Oliver.

Community returns to NBC, Thursday January 2, 2014.
