Lady Gaga impressed listeners of Howard Stern’s radio show with her very open interview and double performance of brand new ARTPOP tracks, “Dope” and “Gypsy”.
In her tell-all interview, Gaga spoke out about her ongoing drama with former pal Perez Hilton. The celebrity blogger, who has publicly provoked reactions from Mother Monster, has constantly mocked Gaga’s chart records and record sales since they notoriously fell out.
Gaga previously took to Twitter to defend herself. Hilton apparently sent Gaga a picture of her in her wheelchair (after suffering a broken hip from over-performing without rest) with Madonna holding a gun to her head saying “Karma.”
Gaga also mentioned in her interview with Howard Stern that he allegedly considered buying an apartment in the same New York building as her and has been accused of stalking.
Talking to USA Today, the pop icon said, “It’s fine to hate me from afar. Everyone can hate me from afar… But the second you try to move in next door to me, I know you’re getting too close, and it’s not safe.”
After explaining that she fears for her safety, she said, “There’s thousands and millions of apartments in New York. You don’t need to move in next door to me.”
The blogger, who is infamous for bullying celebrities on his site, Tweeted, “I’ve got my son and mum here with me in NYC and you think I’m going to blow myself up? Stop doing drugs!!”
He then directed to Gaga’s parents, “If your daughter ends up dead, it’s from a drug overdose. Not cuz I blew us up!… She’s sick and delusional!”
Perez also urged his followers to buy Christina Aguilera’s 2010 album Bionic instead of Gaga’s new album, ARTPOP.
Gaga, who has battled drug addiction in the past and recovered, is celebrating her album’s release this week, which has topped album charts in many countries all over the world.
