J.J. Abrams’ new sci-fi series Almost Human is bursting with imagination. The series is set in the year 2048 where humans and technology co-exist on a greater level than ever before. There will be robots, hovercraft cars, and futuristic crimes. In an interview with Digital Spy, series creator Joel Wyman said the show allows “you to tell stories no one has ever seen.”

The FOX series features actor Karl Urban, who plays human cop John Kennex, and actor Michael Ealy, who plays Kennex’s android partner Dorian. Karl Urban was attracted to star in the show because of the “story, characters, Joel Wyman, and J.J. Abrams.” Almost Human will be an epic tech-filled series with an innovative duo.

“It is set in the near future which will help keep the show tangible. Crime and how it is solved is also different than it is now. If you want a glimpse into what it might be like, this is the show for you,” stated Michael Ealy in an interview with Digital Spy.

According to Digital Spy Lili Taylor, Mackenzie Crook, Michael Irby, and Minka Kelly will also be starring in Almost Human.
