Pop star and resident X-Factor mentor, Demi Lovato, glows, literally, in her brand spanking new “Neon Lights” music video. The clip, lifted from her Demi record, is directed by Ryan Pallota, whose work extends throughout the pop world with Jason Derulo, Nicki Minaj and Robin Thicke credits to his name (among many others).
In the enchantingly seductive video, Demi continues her progressive maturing and samples a little bit of Kelly Clarkson and a teeny, tiny dash of Britney Spears. Plastered with glow-in-the-dark makeup and blue streaks through her hair, the 21-year-old shows off her luscious curves as she treads water (in the nude) and later hits the club with her posse of go-go dancers. The track serves as the third single from her latest album, following the massive success of “Heart Attack” and summer fist-pumper “Made in the U.S.A.”
Not only is the singer burning up like neon lights for the video, but she will be taking her big voice out on the road next year for a tour of the same name. She has enlisted breakout girl groups Fifth Harmony and Little Mix (from the UK) and Cher Lloyd as her openers. The tour, as we previously reported, launches on Feb. 9 in Vancouver and continues in the states until March 30.
