David Beckham, who has become a legend in the world of sports and football, will be making an appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show this December, marking his first interview following his retirement.
Beckham made his professional debut in the game of football playing for Manchester United in 1992. Since then he has played for Real Madrid, Milan, and England’s national team. During 2000 to 2006, he even captained England’s international team and later brought his soccer skills to the U.S., further taking the reins for the L.A. Galaxy.
When Beckham last appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show in February 2012, he told Ross that he had no plans to retire any time soon. “I still feel great, I still feel fit, I still feel healthy and while I still feel like I do, I want to continue to play.”
He was the very first English player to win a league title in four different countries, but earlier this year in May, the 38-year-old made the decision to retire from the sport. “I want to thank all my team-mates, the great managers that I had the pleasure of learning from. I also want to thank the fans who have all supported me and given me the strength to succeed,” he said in a statement to the Football Association.
“Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love, however, I feel like I’m starting a new adventure and I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead.”
The football star that became the face of H&M throughout the years will also be appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show with comedian Will Ferrell, so I’m sure it’ll be a fun time. Are you excited to hear the football legend talk more about his retirement and future plans?
