The Doctor Who anniversary celebrations are still going!
A three-day event is being held in London at the ExCel centre to celebrate 50 years of time traveling. The event, which is being attended by 8000 fans a day, was visited by Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman on friday to kick-off the celebrations.
“We’re very proud, it’s a privilege to be here. It’s a great privilege to be the incumbent Time Lord… It’s great fun and it’s great fun for the fans” Smith said.
“We’ve got such an international crowd here…” Coleman said, “From Turkey, France, Brazil, México, and meeting all these people who have travelled all this way just to be here for this weekend to say, ‘Happy birthday’, it’s great”.
Among the many activities on this event are behind-the-scenes demonstrations, workshops, stunts, props, costumes, official merchandise, etc. As well as appearances from Doctor Who stars from all eras of the series.
