In what seems to be the latest trend, MGM is set to continue on its path of remaking some of its more popular films from the 1980’s and 90’s. This time the film in the firing line is the Patrick Swayze classic, Road House.

The original 1989 film followed James Dalton (Swayze) as a tough bouncer with a mysterious past who is hired to clean up the Double Deuce bar in Jasper, Missouri only to run into corrupt businessman Brad Wesley (Ben Gazzara), who holds the town of Jasper in the palm of his hand.

The remake will be penned by Michael Stokes (The Marsh) and will be directed by Rob Cohen (xXx). As of yet no actors have been attached to the film, but as always, stay tuned to PopWrapped for more information as it comes to light.
