Fans of the frighteningly fascinating NBC thriller, Hannibal, have reason to anticipate the return of season two. Even more so today, as it was confirmed that Eddie Izzard and his psychopathic alter ego, Abel Gideon, will be returning for two episodes.
While speaking with Digital Spy, Izzard said, “I will be back. Everyone’s given me great feedback on Hannibal and I’ve only done two episodes – I really let go in that one!” Izzard didn’t let on as to where in the season he will make his reappearance.
No date has been set as yet for the return of everyone’s favourite psychiatrist cum serial killer to our screens, but we do know that it will be at some point in early 2014.
Last month (October) show runner Bryan Fuller tweeted the promotional poster for the returning season, showing Hannibal sporting a pair of deer antlers; which as anyone that watches the show will recognise as the mark of the Minnesota Shrike which, of course, is Hannibal himself.
