Production of Fast and Furious 7 has been reported stalled after actor Paul Walker’s tragic death over the weekend.
The movie had been filming in L.A. and Atlanta and was scheduled for a July 2014 premiere, but that seems unlikely at this point. Director James Wan met with Universal executives on Sunday (December 1) to discuss the future of the latest installment of the saga. According to The Hollywood Reporter, no firm decisions were made, but Buzzfeed reports the movie is still in production.

Paul Walker was, of course, a very important part of the Fast And Furious franchise, and he was going to continue his role of a police officer-turned-criminal in the sequel Fast And Furious 7, which was scheduled to come out this summer.
Leaked footage shows that Paul Walker had already begun filming some scenes, but it is unclear how many. Variety magazine reports that the crew’s initial focus was the action sequences. “That makes it uncertain what creative solutions Wan and Universal are left with as they consider scenarios for Walker’s character, undercover Los Angeles police officer Brian O’Conner.”
Lionsgate and Pantelion Films have stated that Paul’s penultimate film, Hours, will still open as planned next week, on December 13. You can watch the trailer below.
