The story of their lives is proving to be one for the record books! One Direction has made history as the first group to have their first three albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200!

We can likely chalk it up to all those die hard Directioner across the globe, as One Direction’s latest album, Midnight Memories, debuts in the top spot with over 500,000 copies sold, according to stats from Nielsen SoundScan Billboard reports.

We previously reported that 1D had the fastest selling album on the UK charts when Midnight Memories was released on November 25, and it’s pretty clear that their landslide success story is still in the making.

Since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales back in 1991, only three pop groups have managed to have “multiple half-million sales weeks.” Other than 1D, the other two groups are of course *NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys.

Their hit single, “Story of My Life,” has racked up over 60 million views on YouTube since its debut a month ago. The song peaked at No. 1 in four countries and propelled Midnight Memories into an early chart topping success for the five young Brits.

If you haven’t heard the single or seen the video, or if you just need a little Direction in your life, check out the video below:
