The BBC have just shown a new trailer for “The Empty Hearse,” the premiere episode of season three of Sherlock.  The new trailer shows all of our favourites; Watson, Mrs Hudson, Mycroft and of course the man himself.

In the voice over we hear Martin Freeman’s Watson, wanting to know why Sherlock faked his death following the fall at the end of Season Two.  We also discover that London appears to be under a new terror threat and somehow the London Underground is involved.

Whilst getting ready to surprise Watson with his return at Baker Street, Mycroft explains that it has been two years and that Watson has moved on with his life, and Sherlock delivers possibly the BEST line ever “what life, I’ve been away.”

There is also an interactive trailer available via the BBC website, and we have the trailer underneath to allow you to watch it over and over again just as we have been doing here at Popwrapped.

Just remember #Sherlocklives and returns to BBC One on New Years Day at 9pm and in the US on January 19.
