John Mayer is singing Katy praises on his latest track “Who you Love” from his album Paradise Valley. Mayer released the cover art for the single last week via twitter remarking, “Who You Love” is here. Proud of this song, proud of this artwork, proud of this girl.”
It seems that “Who you Love” almost didn’t see the light of day. In an interview with radio station Z100 Mayer revealed that he had the idea for the song for a while and had no intention on finishing it for Paradise Valley. It wasn’t until producer Don Was suggested Katy that Mayer considered finishing the track. He did have some hesitations though.
”Now, he could say that because he doesn’t have to worry about all the hang-ups that I’d have to worry about,” Mayer said. He later added that, “She was an artist in the studio and partner out of the studio. It was really professional.”
It seems these two have found the right balance to succeed both in and out of the studio! You can download “Who You Love” on iTunes now!
