Apple announced that it will be launching a “12 Days of Gifts” app this month which will offer users a free download each day from December 26 to January 6.
Apple isn’t revealing what the exact gifts are, but downloads will include songs, apps, books, movies, and more. The gifts will be available for download for 24 hours.
The app will send notifications each day letting users know of that day’s free gift, and is available now. Users will need to have iOS 7 installed to download it.
Although this is the first time the app has been available in the US, Apple has given out free gifts to users in Canada, Europe and Japan over the past few years. Past gifts included music from One Direction, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Ke$ha and Maroon 5. Apple also handed out some free apps from SEGA and episodes from TV shows like BBC’s Sherlock, Top Gear, 30 Rock and House.
