It has been just three days since Queen Bey unexpectedly released her self-titled “Visual Album”.
With no advertisements, teasers, or music videos prior to the album’s release, the singer has sold about 550,000 copies. The album is expected to hit number one on the US Billboard 200 chart later this week.
This very well may be Beyoncé’s best (and biggest) week for opening sales. Her previous album B’Day took the number one spot in the charts and sold 541,000 copies the first week.
The star’s record sales weren’t too shabby across the pond either, ranking in the number five spot on the UK charts and selling 68,000 copies during its first 48 hours on sale.
Although Beyoncé came complete with 14 songs and 17 music videos, an official single has not yet been announced.
