New results from a second test of the hair of the late actress Brittany Murphy confirm there were unusually high levels of heavy metals in her system.
Her father, Angelo Bertolotti received the results which show that there were high levels of barium and sulphur, common ingredients in rat poison, in the actress’ system when she died. This adds up to her father’s theory that Murphy [and later her husband] were murdered.
“They’ve confirmed and even expanded the list of toxic metals found in Brittany’s hair. I have no doubt that my daughter was poisoned”, Bertolotti told examiner.com.
Murphy passed away in December 2009. The cause of death was listed as pneumonia with secondary factors of anemia. Her husband Simon Monjack passed away five months later.
Her father received a toxicology report last month that found 10 different heavy metals at levels higher than recommended in his daughter’s system. Mr. Bertolotti criticized the initial investigation on Murphy’s death. He believed there was a failure on the toxicology tests despite there being materials in her stomach that resembled medication.
“These new lab results re-confirm what we already knew. I never doubted the previous test results, but decided to get a second opinion”.
