This past Friday, December 20, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance at a Walmart in Tewksbury, Massachusetts where she played the role of Santa Claus to the local shoppers.
Beyoncé purchased 750 gift cards from the store worth $50 each (making it a grand total of $37,500) and went about handing them out in envelopes to every person in the store.
Coming off the recent controversy of secretly dropping her new album which resulted in both Target and Amazon announcing that they won’t be carrying a physical copy of Beyoncé, it’s extremely apropos that she take her business to Walmart to do some shopping for Blue Ivy.
