True Blood fans we have some shocking news for you – the role of James played by will be re-cast for the shows seventh and final season.
After a year of playing James, actor Luke Grimes will not reprise the character in the next season of the Vampire series due to creative direction of the character, reports TVLine.
The actor had played the love interest of Jessica, a character played by Deborah Ann Woll, for a year. After learning what the future held for his character, Grimes pulled opted to end his contract. A source stated that Grimes had “initially joined the show because he wanted to work with [his Forever co-star] Deborah Ann Woll,” according to DigitalSpy.
The site also reported that Grimes read the scripts for the shows seventh and final season, and was disappointed that his character would be going down a totally different path. The show will carry on the character; the role will just be recast when it returns in this summer to HBO. There is no news as who will replace Grimes, who will be seen playing Christian Grey’s brother in Fifty Shades of Grey.
