Although the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was just released in Japan, there has been an even bigger buzz around the Final Fantasy X series; a possible development for Final Fantasy X-3.

In an interview (in the Ultimania book) with FF-Reunion.net, Final Fantasy scenario writer Kazushige Nojim shared his thoughts (translated) saying, “If there’s enough demand, then we may possibly see new developments.” He continues on with his own personal opinion, “I would personally like to see a sequel like X-3.”

Even such a simple statement has created quite a stir among the Final Fantasy community. In fact, fans have shared their strong opinions, of both positive and negative reactions, to the possible Final Fantasy X-3 development.

I actually really enjoyed Final Fantasy X and X-2 (I’ve even pre-ordered the HD Remaster), but having a third installment to the game may be a bit excessive. I’m curious to what you think though; is it too much, or is it exciting news?

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be released in North American on March 18th, 2014 for both the PlayStation 3 and Vita. And don’t forget, if you pre-order now you can receive a limited edition of the exclusive concept artbook!
