Swedish game developer DICE has confirmed that the popular first-person shooter Battlefield 4, is still undergoing online connectivity issues, leaving some versions on the game unable to access online game play.
DICE posted about the issue on the on the Battlefield 4 forum stating, “We are continuing to monitor some intermittent connectivity issues affecting various platforms. Thank you for your patience. We will update this with further information as available.”
The game’s publisher, Electronic Arts, announced that it would be putting a hold on upcoming expansions to the game, in order to focus on fixing the connectivity issues.
In related news, China has put a ban on the first-person shooter, supposedly due to content which jeopardizes the country’s national security.
