Arrow’s Showrunner Denies Any DC/Marvel Rivalry

It would seem as if the rivalry between DC and Marvel has moved onto television now.  However, Arrow showrunner Andrew Kreisberg has dismissed these rumors of competition against the two shows.

Arrow, which is based on the DC comics superhero Green Arrow, has been receiving both critical acclaim and satisfying ratings. However, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a production of superhero juggernaut Marvel Comics, has received just the same.

Kreisberg has claimed that he sees no competition between the shows, and in fact stated the contrary – he claims that he and the Arrow team are enthusiastic to be a part of an age where many comic book heroes are being adapted for television – including the Batman-inspired drama Gotham (premiering in Fall 2014 on Fox) and Constantine¸ based on the DC comics antihero (premiering on NBC). Arrow is also set to have its own spin-off with the upcoming Flash, which will debut on the CW.

Arrow is set to return on January 15th, whilst Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is to return on January 7th
