Pop star Ke$ha checked herself into rehab early this morning to deal with an eating disorder. According to TMZ, the 26-year-old singer is staying at the Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center, the same facility Demi Lovato checked into a few years ago.
“I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I’ve found it hard to practice. I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am,” she told TMZ.
According to E! Online, Ke$ha had been “strutting a smaller frame for some time now, however, there was no evidence that anything was amiss.”
Kit Rich, Ke$ha’s trainer, shared the “Timber” singer’s workout plan with E! News. “We’ve been doing a lot of circuit training and incorporating Pilates exercises with weights that heighten and shape the butt,” Kit told E! News. “Lunges, squats, stairs and isolated glute exercises.”
Rich told E! News that “Ke$ha was practicing a healthier diet.”
“She makes fresh vegetable and fruit juices in her juicer daily,” Rich continues, “plus, she eats lots of protein—she really loves salmon!—and steamed veggies and tons of water.”
