“Dark Horse” is dominating the charts and the airwaves, and fans love it so much that Katy Perry is considering making it the next single from her album Prism.
According to Digital Spy, the pop diva tweeted about the song earlier this week. Although she didn’t say outright whether or not it would be her latest single, things look promising.
Well… it looks like Dark Horse is literally becoming a Dark Horse of a song! Sounds like the people have spoken… I must listen…

It has already surpassed Perry’s second single “Unconditionally” on iTunes—it’s currently at #4 in digital sales, and “Unconditionally” is at #26.
At the 2013 Video Music Awards, Perry spoke to MTV News about the concept behind “Dark Horse”.
“It’s kind of a juxtaposition. It’s got me, a pop artist, with a little bit of an urban kind of hip-hop-flavored background soundtrack to it, and the lyrics are kind of witchy and dark, as if I was a witch warning this man not to fall in love with me, and if you do know I’m going to be your last,” she explained.
All bets should probably be on the “Dark Horse” because the track, featuring Memphis-born rapper Juicy J, is steadily racing up the Billboard charts.
It jumped from #22 to #14 on the Hot 100 chart this week, which was the peak spot for “Unconditionally”.
Downloads have risen 87%, catapulting it from the #17 spot to #7 in Hot Digital Songs.
As for the Hot 100 Airplay charts, it rose from #48 to #31.
