Ed Sheeran confirmed via Twitter that he will make an “announcement on January 6.”
The musician is expected to release information about his upcoming album, which is predicted to debut in early 2014.
This will be the Brit’s second album, a follow up to + that featured breakout songs like “A-team” and “Lego House.” Sheeran told Noise11.com that, much like his first album, his new one “doesn’t start with a letter.”
It is also speculated that Sheeran is preparing for an upcoming UK arena tour.
The musician performed at New York’s Madison Square Garden in November, debuting new songs “New York” and “So In Love.”
Sheeran was most recently heard on the soundtrack for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
