Katy Perry will roar onto the stage at the upcoming 56th Annual Grammy Awards. Likewise, 2013’s breakthrough artist Lorde is on tap to perform for the first time in her budding career, the organization announced on Tuesday January 7.
Additional performers include Metallica with Grammy Cultural Ambassador to China Lang Lang, Nile Rodgers of Chic , Pharrell Williams in his first Grammy’s performance for a decade and legend Stevie Wonder.
They join previously unveiled performers Daft Punk, Robin Thicke with Chicago, Kendrick Lamar with Imagine Dragons, P!nk and fun.’s Nate Ruess, as well as a special performance by Merle Haggard,Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton.

LL Cool J will return as emcee for the evening.
Heading into Music’s Biggest Night, going live Sunday, January 26, 2014, at LA’s Staples Center, Lorde, 17, has four nominations to her credit, including Record and Song of the Year for her quirky “Royals” smash. The song’s home album, titled “Pure Heroine,” scored a Best Pop Vocal Album nod.
Perry has two nominations: Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her anthemic “Roar.” Lifted from her third studio set “Prism,” the track is a multi-platinum smash and spent multiple weeks at the top on Billboard’s Hot 100.
