Columbia and Barbados have a reason to smile today: Shakira and Rihanna have released highly-anticipated artwork for their collaboration, “Can’t Remember to Forget You”.
The song was only confirmed recently but the pair caused quite a storm amongst pop music fans. Shakira has previously experienced huge success working with other artists on tracks like “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Beautiful Liar”.
“Can’t Remember to Forget You”, to be released on January 13, will be the first single from Shakira’s upcoming album, and with Ri-Ri featuring on the track, we can only imagine how good it will be!

The artwork itself is very attractive; Shakira sits with Rihanna’s head resting on her lap. Both women stare directly into the camera and contrast beautifully in the dark setting.

The music video for the song has already been filmed, and is set to drop in the next few weeks. Based on the history of these artists’ music videos and the artwork we’re seeing, fans are in for something sexy and fun…
Shakira’s upcoming album is her first since Sale el Sol which was released in 2010 and is also her first English-recorded track since ‘She Wolf’ which was released in 2009. The delay in new work was likely down to Shakira having her first baby, but the Columbian songstress is certainly back in business this year!
