With everything he’s been through in the past few weeks, you have to wonder if he’s serious.

Shia LaBeouf revealed quite the shocking news to his Twitter followers Friday morning, saying that he is retiring from public life in the wake of receiving a cease and desist letter from Daniel Clowes’ attorney, this according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Shia was accused of plagiarizing Clowes’ comics for his recent short film “HowardCantour.com”.
Following his public apology to Clowes, Shia dug himself a deeper hole by even plagiarizing other apologies, and took to a sky writing effort in order to mend what he had done.
His tweets came in this morning saying:

Reps for the actor have not yet revealed how serious Shia is about the situation, and as of this afternoon, his Twitter account was still active.
What do you guys think of Shia’s big reveal? Could he really be serious??
