With a little less than a month till the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, NBC announced that they will not be streaming the opening ceremonies. Mark Lazarus, NBC Sports chairman, spoke to press regarding the situation earlier this week.
“We want to put context to it, with the full pageantry it deserves,” he said.
NBC is pulling out all the stops sending their top sports anchors to the event. Also reporting for NBC Sports will be Maria Sharapova, Nastia Liukin, and Johnny Weir.
You can catch the Sochi Winter Olympics in their glory when the opening ceremony kicks off on Friday, February 7th on NBC.
