The future of the Fast and Furious franchise will be in the works soon, according to Vin Diesel. This comes after production on the seventh film was postponed due to the untimely death of Paul Walker. Under their current schedule, Universal Pictures predicts Fast and Furious 7 will be released by April 10, 2015.

As a tribute to his friend, Diesel posted an old picture of himself with co-star Paul Walker on his Facebook page and offered insight into what was next for the films.

“We always took pride in trying to make each one better than the last” Diesel captioned the picture.

“P.s. Tomorrow we meet with the studio, regarding the future of the Fast saga… and the completion of Seven,” he added.
In another act of kindness toward his lost friend, Diesel posted a video tribute to Walker featuring highlights of the two on and off set earlier this week.

Although Walker’s character Brian O’Conner will appear in the seventh installment of the Fast franchise, sources have claimed that the character will be retired in the series instead of being killed off.
