Citizens of Gotham, unite! Fox has just announced that several classic villains from the Batverse will be coming soon to our television screens. That’s right! The Riddler, Catwoman, and the Penguin will star in the new TV show Gotham!

Kevin Reilly, the network entertainment chairman, dished out the details in an interview with Deadline.

“We will see how they get to become what they are as Gotham is teetering on the edge. It is an operatic soap with a larger than life quality.”

If you’ve ever wondered about Commissioner Gordon in his pre-Batman days, this show will follow that vein—all the way back to early Gotham PD!

And we may also receive a surprise visit from a young Bruce Wayne!

“The show will track Bruce from a child (around 12 years old) until he puts on a cape (in the finale).”

The project will begin filming in March under the capable eyes of Danny Cannon.

The fandom truly is a vast place! Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) is set to join the Gotham team as its executive producer.

No news yet on the casting of our favourite commissioner.
