Tonight, as President Obama gives his State of the Union Address, a certain famous bearded duck call maker will be in the audience listening.

Willie Robertson, star of Duck Dynasty, will be attending the speech after an invitation from Louisiana Rep. Vance McAllister as a thank you; Robertson endorsed and supported McAllister, helping him win a special election last November.

“I am proud to have my close friend, constituent and small business owner, Willie Robertson, attend tonight’s State of the Union Address as my special guest,” McAllister said in a statement. “Willie is thankful for this opportunity and honored to attend. I look forward to the two of us representing the Fifth District in DC this evening and bringing some diversity to our nation’s capitol.”

Robertson is the son of Duck Dynasty co-star Phil Robertson, who, at the end of last year, made headlines after an interview with GQ where he spoke about homosexuality and African-Americans. A&E then suspended Phil from the show after the controversial comments quickly went viral and caused an uproar.

While it was rumored the rest of the Robertson family would leave the show if the actions against Phil were not reversed, A&E lifted the suspension after a few weeks and then premiered the new season.
