Ellen is one busy woman!!
Between her regular, syndicated talk show and hosting the Oscars March 2nd, the talented comedienne has just received some more good news. Her new comedy which she is producing has been picked up by NBC.
Ellen’s production company “A Very Good Production” has been given the greenlight to move forward with a new show titled One Big Happy which will feature a lesbian lead character. The show will be written by Liz Feldman.
Deadline confirmed the news earlier today: “NBC has given a pilot order to a multi-camera comedy executive produced by DeGeneres. The project, titled One Big Happy, is written/exec produced by openly gay comedy scribe Liz Feldman (2 Broke Girls). In it, a gay (woman) and straight (man) best friends decide to have a baby together, but things get complicated when the man finds the love of their life.”
No word yet on who will be starring in the new series, but color me very intrigued!!
Could Ellen have a brand new hit on her hands? Only time will tell!
