Will Anna Kendrick Be Back For The Aca-Amazing Pitch Perfect 2?

It’s only been recently confirmed that there will be a sequel to the hugely popular Pitch Perfect. Here’s what we know about it: Pitch Perfect star Elizabeth Banks will direct it, incidentally making her directorial debut. And that’s it.

No, seriously, that is all we know.

HuffPost Entertainment did manage to catch Anna Kendrick whilst in the midst of promoting her new tongue-in-cheek marketing campaign for If We Made It, working with Newcastle Brown Ale. It mimics and makes laughable the flood of Super Bowl commercials containing the usual ridiculous antics. They asked the “Cups” singer for some inside scoop on the new movie. Her response:

“I don’t know what it will be about.”

Yes, she did say that.

“What do you think it would be about? I don’t know!”

That too. But at least she can confirm that she’ll be in it, right?

“I wish I knew. I wish there was a script.”

So, no confirmation from Kendrick, who insists that she is “banging down the doors” in order to get a part.

Well, it’s safe to say that the project is most definitely in its early stages, but keep following PopWrapped as Pitch Perfect 2 progresses.
