Flash’s best friend has officially been cast! Former The Game star, Candice Patton, is set to join the CW series Flash as Iris West,
Iris is the best friend of Barry Allen’s The Flash. She is quick witted and fast on the verbal draw. She will appear in the upcoming pilot for the show, which the CW hopes will gain a sizable following, if its parent show, Arrow, is anything to go by.
Candice previously stared in The Game as Tori. She also has television credits on Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami, and Rizzoli & Isles. She is set to join previously announced lead star, Grant Gustin (who played Sebastian on Glee), Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker, and Jesse L. Martin.
However, this wasn’t the original plan for the series.
Barry Allen was set to be introduced as a secondary character to smash hit show, Arrow, but after the success following only 2 episodes featuring the character, the network decided to move forward with the pilot.
