Who doesn’t recall a time in their life when they sat for hours (or even days) in front of a TV or computer playing a Sonic game? With over 20 years of Sonic being in our lives, Sega has decided to shake things up a bit.
As reported by Kotaku.com, the popular video game characters will all be getting a makeover in ways that better show their abilities. Knuckles, the brawn of the group, is now bigger than his companions, Tails has a brand new tool belt that gives him the look of an inventor, and Amy now wields a large hammer and is seen as the brains of the group. Sonic himself is only getting a change in the color of his scarf (from red to brown) and some athletic tape to cover his hands and feet.
Along with the re-vamp of their images, the crew will also be getting a new TV show and new games for the WiiU and the Nintendo 3DS, all of which will be titled Sonic Boom.
The new TV show will air on Cartoon Network while the WiiU game will be made by the company BigRedButton and the 3DS game by Sanzaru.
