Matthew McConaughey Talks Magic Mike Thongs

Oscar nominated star Matthew McConaughey appeared on BBC America’s The Graham Norton Show, where he talked about his role in Magic Mike and his experience in wearing a thong or, as Graham Norton called it, a “posing pouch!”

McConaughey demonstrated -fully dressed – to the audience how when he puts his thong on, his body “gets kind of inverted.”

“I had to loosen up,” said the actor, “because this a guy who really lives in this thing, and I had to get really loose and [down] with it.”

He would even walk around set wearing his Magic Mike thong, making small talk with the crew, even when they weren’t filming.

“I remember going – and I wasn’t the only one who did this – I had to walk out amongst the crew and have small-time, normal conversations. ‘Hey, what’d you have for lunch? Did you see the game this weekend?’ Go out and try to have some small talk in this thong without flinching. It was hard.”

Matthew McConaughey in a thong is an image most of us will never forget, but you can currently see him slight more clothed in the film which has gained him an Oscar nomination this year, Dallas Buyers Club.
