Former American Idol judge, and soon to be seen back on board the UK X Factor, Simon Cowell is having a pretty amazing Valentine’s Day, as his girlfriend Lauren Silverman has given birth to their first child!
Lauren gave birth to a healthy baby boy today, whom the couple named Eric. The name comes from Simon’s father.
The healthy little guy came in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and was born at the Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC. It was a bit touch & go for a while whether Simon was going to make it for the big event. He flew in from London upon hearing that Lauren had gone into labor, and reportedly made it to her side in time for the birth.
This is Simon’s first child and Lauren’s 2nd. She also has an 8 year old boy with ex-hubby Andrew Silverman.
