Downton Abbey, a British period drama from the BBC, is adding a few new members to the manor residents. After the 2013 Christmas special, creators and fans speculated that the show would only live to see the end of Season 5. But, thankfully, the producers denied these rumors, and there are “no plans of ending the show.”
The regular cast,made up of more than 20 people, will now also include Richard Grant, who will be playing Simon Bricker, a guest of the Granthams; Anna Chancellor, who will portray the role of Lady Anstruther; and Rade Sherbedgia, who will play a refugee who has fled the Russian revolution after the First World War, whose name is still unknown.
Dame Harriet Walter will also return to Downton. She will reprise her role as Lady Shackleton, along with Peter Egan, who will return as Lord Flintshire.
