Hal Rudnick of Youtube channel Screen Junkies spent an eerie few minutes with Shia LaBeouf during his now-infamous performance art piece, #IAMSORRY.

Entering the exhibition with camera rolling, Rudnick came face-to-face with Shia, sitting silently in full tuxedo with his currently-trademark paper bag completing the ensemble.

Rudnick made simple attempts to communicate with the 27-year-old actor, asking him to remove his bag before eventually pulling it away himself. He was somewhat surprised to find that it was indeed the former Even Stevens star under the hood, and went so far as to play LaBeouf a clip from his child acting days before pleading with him to explain his bizarre behavior,

“Why are you, now a millionaire, sitting in a room with people lined outside to see you! They are lined up, they, some are hungry, they haven’t eaten since breakfast…”

Rudnick was clearly unnerved by the unyielding silence, soon pleading with LaBeouf to speak:

“Why are we in this weird, weird situation; this is easily the weirdest thing I’ve done today. Say something. Speak! Please?”

LaBeouf maintained his grim stare, not even cracking at Rudnick’s eventual remark that he could not forgive the young actor for his role in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Other visitors to LaBeouf’s #IAMSORRY have had nearly-identical experiences, with many relating that LaBeouf had been crying profusely, refusing to utter a word, though some did report that he would respond to physical cues, such as leaning in for a hug.
