Ever since we heard the news that the extremely popular animated Disney movie Frozen is going to be, like other Disney movies, adapted to the stage of a Broadway theatre, all we have done is waited (impatiently) for news on development.
Although news is slow coming, we are happy to know that the directors of Frozen have now confirmed that the show is going to be adapted, and both Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee are going to be involved. However, plans are only “in the very early stages,” as the movie is yet to be released in some countries, like Japan.
The crew behind the show also reported that they want not to rush anything because their biggest aim is excellence, to please the audience. Therefore, until the movie has premiered worldwide, plans for the stage show won’t move forward quickly. Disney CEO Bob Iger has even suggested that a Frozen Broadway show could take as long as many as years to complete,
We cannot wait for what is sure to be an amazing Frozen stage show to hit The Great White Way!
