Golden Globe winning actress Robin Wright, known for her iconic roles in The Princess Bride and Forrest Gump, cannot stop gushing about her character in the Netflix series House of Cards.
Wright plays Claire Underwood alongside Kevin Spacey’s Francis Underwood.
Wright says of her character: “She’s so evil, but I don’t see her as evil. She’s doing her due diligence and that’s the way things work. That’s how you get jobs done and if there’s a hindrance or a roadblock you’ve got to remove the roadblock. It’s really simple.”
She also commends the shows creator, Beai Willimon, by describing the show as a character piece and an instruction manual on how to write characters.
The series recently returned over the weekend on Netflix, picking up right where it left off.
