Hiddleston can add Elle’s Man of the Year to his impressive list of accolades.

2013 was an impressive year for Hiddleston, performances in films Thor: the Dark World as God of Mischief Loki; Only Lovers Left Alive as vampire musician Adam; and stage production of Coriolanus which garnered rave reviews all around the world! He also interviewed Natalie Portman for the Elle November 2013 issue, and was the subject of an exclusive photo shoot for the March 2014 edition.

Tom was unable to accept the award (he just arrived in Toronto to film Crimson Peak), but he did tape a short video.  He drank some beer, stumbled through, and thanked Elle and Richard E. Grant (who presented Tom with the award), and also asked if Grant was ever told he looked like Loki’s father.

Tom ever so humbly said, “At 33 years young, I feel I fall short in the manliest of virtues but that one day I can live up to the name.”
