TV-show-turned-fan-funded-movie-phenomenon Veronica Mars is headed for the UK.
The record breaking Kickstarter movie will be shown at limited cinemas across the UK and Ireland.
Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas announced the news in an email to backers of the project this week.
For those who haven’t seen the TV show, it’s about teenage detective Veronica Mars [Kristen Bell] who is trying to solve the murder of her best friend, played by Amanda Seyfried. Unfortunately the show was cancelled after only 3 seasons in 2007.
Fans of the show never stopped hoping for a reprise and, thanks to Kickstarter, made it happen!
Don’t worry if you’ve not seen the show as creator Rob Thomas has said that the movie will be enjoyable for everyone.
The movie is about Mars being pulled back into the past she left behind 9 years ago because of a high school reunion.
