“I’d like a family. Not a big one, but not a small one either. I really want my 30s to be all about my family. When we do have kids it’s going to be wonderful. I think two is a good number.

“Mike’s going to be the best dad ever. That makes the whole parent situation much, much better.”

The couple recently purchased several hundred acres of land outside of Nashville, Tennessee, where they hope to build the home of their dreams. But kids won’t be the only thing populating their home! Underwood says she wants to have plenty of animals.

“I want cows and pigs and goats and chickens.”

And maybe a dog or two. Having two of her own–Penny and Ace–has been good practice for Underwood, but the couple knows that dogs and kids take different levels of attention. Nevertheless, they are confident they will be able to handle it.

“If she treats her kids half as good as she treats the dogs, they’ll be in great shape,” Fisher joked.

In response to who will take on the most responsibility with their kids, Underwood claimed they would be sharing everything equally.

“It won’t ever be just mom in the kitchen at our house. When we have kids it will still be a family affair.”

We wish you both the best of luck!
