The CW Presents A First Look At Grant Gustin In Costume As The Flash

From singing “Smooth Criminal” on Glee to catching criminals as The CW’s new superhero, TVGuide just released the first look of Grant Gustin as The Flash.  Whose alter ego Barry Allen we saw on the networks show, Arrow.

Last time we saw Barry on Arrow’s two-part episode, he was just Central City’s police scientist coming to Starling City to investigate weird cases so he can find answers and connections to his mother’s death (she died when he was very young).

In the midst of everything, he soon finds himself saving Oliver Queen’s life (Stephen Amell) and finding out about the identity of The Arrow.

Upon returning to the city of Central, he returned to his lab only to be caught when news of S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator became unstable. This sent a shockwave throughout the city just as Barry was hit with a red bolt of lighting throwing him back to his lab unconsciously.

Barry’s character was later mentioned the following episode, when Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) said she visited him in the hospital saying he was still in a coma after the accident.

The Flash is ready to go and begin production, and boast a cast with names such as Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, Candance Patton and Carols Valdes.

So are you excited to see Grant Gustin as The Flash?  Ready for another dose of superhero to hit your screens? The last time we saw a live and late version of Barry Allen he was played by Kyle Gallner on Smallville, but going by the superhero identity Impulse. Though, that one just wore a hoodie on the show and something tighter in the later comic book adaptation of the show.

Grant Gustin’s costume as The Flash looks more like the comic version, even sporting the lighting bolts on the side, but we only have a sneak peek before we see the whole thing. But it already looks good and Grant Gustin is going to make his own mark as The Flash.

Here’s hoping the network picks it up, possibly paring it Wednesday night with Arrow or just pairing it with The Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals to make Tuesday night a spin-off night.
