After Shantae Harris, aka Da Brat, has spent three years in prison, because she was sentenced for brutally attacking Shayla Stevens with a rum bottle at Studio 72 nightclub in Atlanta, GA back in October 2007, now she must pay $6.4 million to Stevens.
The victim from 2007 pressed charges again, after Da Brat has walked free from prison in 2011. The date of trial got delayed, as one of the members of the jury, who was not a U.S. citizen, had been neglected from judging over Da Brat’s sentence.
The new jury decided in favor of the victim, which means that Da Brat now has to pay the money, as she was found responsible for causing permanent facial scarring, neurological damage and mental pain.
