Did you know that actor Ralph Fiennes was actually in talks to play 007 himself, James Bond?
No?
Well, now you do!
In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Fiennes talked about how he had been in talks with producer Cubby Broccoli to play Bond, but in the end they agreed that he shouldn’t take the role.
The role was later given to Pierce Brosnan.
Fiennes couldn’t say much about the conversation the two shared, but he did give a reason as to why he didn’t take the role.
“I don’t think I felt ready to commit and I think they were looking at Pierce,” he said. “I think I would’ve been a terrible Bond, actually. I think I’m happier playing M.”
